Bask in Nature · Escape No. 001
Two iconic trails. One big Saturday. A long weekend for women who would rather catch up while climbing.
The invitation
A three-day girls' escape built around one big day in Many Glacier: Cracker Lake in the morning, then Grinnell Glacier in the afternoon.
For experienced trail runners. Social pace, real mountain terrain, no race clock.
Proposed adventure · Plans subject to changeSaturday's double
Back-to-back out-and-backs from the Many Glacier area, with a reset and refuel between trails.
01 / Morning
A steady climb through forest and open country to a lake so intensely turquoise it hardly looks real, tucked beneath the sheer walls of Siyeh Peak.
02 / Afternoon
Cliffs, waterfalls, wildlife country, and an ever-widening view over the Many Glacier valley before the final arrival at Upper Grinnell Lake.
Trail totals vary slightly by recording and access. Allow roughly 23-24 miles for the full day.
Three days / two nights
Fly Phoenix to Kalispell, collect the rental car, and make the scenic drive into Many Glacier. Check in, share an early dinner, lay out tomorrow's kit, and get some sleep.
Start early for Cracker Lake. Return to Many Glacier for food, water, and a quick reset, then head back out for Grinnell Glacier. Finish the day with dinner and very tired legs.
Sleep in, enjoy breakfast and one last mountain view, then drive back to Kalispell for the return flight to Phoenix.
